Dispersive Raman Microscopy has become a preferred technique for the rapid, nondestructive analysis of small samples. Exciting molecules with a laser beam through a confocal optical microscope coupled with a conventional spectrometer, which offers the possibility to analyse microscopic materials. Dispersive Raman Microscopy Senterra R200-L is equipped with three lasers of 785nm, 633nm and 532nm, and the spectral range is up to 4500-80cm-1. Multi-point scanning, line scanning, face scanning, and confocal testing of samples can be performed. The lateral resolution can be achieved to the order of magnitude of 1 µm, depending on the laser wavelength and the numerical aperture of the microscope objective. The axial resolution at high magnification is better than 2 µm.
This microscopy technique can be applied on very different types of compounds, such as gases, liquids and solids. It has become an inescapable tool in some research, analytical and control laboratories. However, it is essential to remember that Raman Spectroscopy permits to analyse only molecules and structures, but not isolated ions.
Analyze microscopic materials, without any sample preparation or contact or destruction.
simple operation, high accuracy, and fast test speed
the unique capability for analyzing a sample in the z-axis
routinely measuring samples as small as 1 µm
extending the capability of infrared microspectroscopic analysis
