- Advanced Detection and Data Collection
The D8 QUEST is equipped with the PHOTON IV photon-counting detector, incorporating fourth-generation detector technology to provide a large active detection area, exceptional dynamic range, and rapid data acquisition. Adjustable crystal-to-detector distance and 2θ positioning allow experimental conditions to be optimized for different sample types.
- Flexible System Configuration
Designed with a highly modular platform, the system supports sealed tube X-ray sources as well as IµS 3.0 and IµS DIAMOND II microfocus X-ray sources, with fully air-cooled configurations available for simplified operation. The system supports either FIXED-CHI or KAPPA four-axis goniometers, which enable precise crystal positioning with a sphere of confusion of less than 7 μm, ensuring reliable crystal alignment throughout data collection.
- Comprehensive Software and Safe Operation
The D8 QUEST is supported by Bruker's powerful crystallographic software packages, including APEX for chemical crystallography and PROTEUM for structural biology, enabling streamlined instrument control, data processing, and structure determination. A TÜV-certified safety enclosure provides enhanced operational safety while maintaining convenient access and excellent sample visibility during experiments.
