UPLC-Q-TOF-MS achieves the perfect combination of ultra-high performance liquid chromatography system and high resolution mass spectrometry, whose performance is far exceeding the ordinary LC-MS. The UPLC-Q-TOF-MS can be used to qualitatively or quantitatively analyze samples with extremely complex and micro components, especially for the metabolomics and drug metabolism. UPLC breaks through the limitation of traditional HPLC, which uses the small packing particles (1.7 µm) as the stationary phase and achieves the separation of samples with high quality resolution and sensitivity. Meanwhile, Q-TOF-MS can also provide the analysis and structural identification for the selected molecular ions by using MS/MS.
