We offer the TOP assay to identify and quantify PFAS precursors that may not be captured through standard targeted analysis. This method converts precursors into measurable perfluoroalkyl acids (PFAAs) through chemical oxidation, providing insight into the potential for future PFAS formation in the environment.
Our laboratory provides total organic fluorine (TOF) analysis to estimate the total amount of organically bound fluorine in a sample, including both known PFAS compounds and unidentified fluorinated substances.
We also provide extractable organic fluorine (EOF) testing, which measures the portion of organic fluorine that can be extracted under defined conditions and detected using combustion ion chromatography.
