Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) represent a group of synthetic chemicals widely used in industrial and consumer products. However, their environmental persistence and bioaccumulative nature have raised significant concerns regarding human exposure and associated health risks (as shown in Fig. 1). PFAS can accumulate in biological tissues and fluids such as blood, serum, liver, kidney, breast milk, and urine, making biological monitoring essential for exposure assessment and health risk evaluation. Alfa Chemistry provides advanced PFAS testing services for biological tissues and fluids, supporting research institutions, regulatory bodies, healthcare organizations, and industries in achieving precise exposure assessments.

Our laboratory is equipped to handle a wide range of biological matrices (including human samples and animal samples) for PFAS analysis, including but not limited to:
We accept samples for routine screening, research studies, and legal or regulatory investigations. All analyses are performed under strict chain-of-custody and quality assurance protocols.
We can detect and quantify compounds such as PFOA, PFOS, PFHxS, PFNA, PFHpA, and newer alternatives like GenX and ADONA.
Using advanced instrumentation (LC-MS/MS, UPLC-MS/MS, or HRMS), we can achieve detection limits in the low parts-per-trillion (ppt) or ng/L levels, suitable for biological matrices.
Our methods align with international standards, including US EPA 533/537.1 (adapted for biological samples), ISO protocols, and validated in-house SOPs.
Depending on project needs, we can tailor the list of PFAS compounds analyzed, including legacy and novel PFAS.
If you would like assistance with sampling plans, custom PFAS panels, or regulatory compliance, contact our PFAS testing team today. We are ready to support your biological monitoring and research needs with precision and professionalism.
