Soil environmental monitoring refers to important measures to understand the quality of soil environment for the purpose of prevention and control of soil pollution, dynamic analysis and determination of soil pollution degree and development trend. Its main testing contents include the sources of various metals, organic pollutants, pesticides and pathogens in the soil, pollution levels, accumulation and migration, etc.
The United States is a large agricultural country. The area of arable land is the largest in the world and the per capita arable land accounts for 0.7 hectares. There is a fairly well-developed plantation and animal husbandry industry and a major exporter of agricultural byproducts. However, with the development of industry, the pollution of the atmosphere and soil is increasing day by day, and the quality and safety issues of agricultural products caused by soil pollution and group incidents is increasing year by year, which has become an important factor affecting people's physical health and social stability. Strengthening soil management and protection is imminent.
Soil is the basic environmental element that constitutes an ecosystem, and it is the material basis for human survival and development. Alfa Chemistry as a full-service environmental testing company, we are your experts for your solid analysis, including soils, biosolids, sludge, grit and non-aqueous wastes. Testing for RCRA/TCLP metals, organics, inorganics, and priority pollutants are at the core of what we do. Our analytical equipment includes: Atomic Absorbtion (Flame, Furnace, and Cold Vapor), Inductively Coupled Plasma Spectrophotometer, Ion Chromatography, etc. The items we tested include but not limited to the following:
Solids testing
Solid waste refers to solid, semi-solid waste generated by humans in production, consumption, life, and other activities, including solid particles, garbage, slag, sludge, discarded products, broken utensils, defective products, animal carcasses, deteriorated foods, human and animal feces, etc. Our test range is mainly corrosive, heavy metal elements (lead, cadmium, arsenic, mercury, hexavalent chromium, silver, copper, zinc, nickel, etc.), volatile organic compounds, semi-volatile organic compounds, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, and o-benzene formate, pesticide residues, etc.
Sludge testing
Sludge is the product of sewage treatment and is an extremely complex heterogeneous body consisting of organic debris, bacterial bacteria, inorganic particles, colloids, etc. Our testing indicators mainly include pH value, organic matter, mineral oil, metal elements (lead, cadmium, chromium, copper, zinc, nickel, boron, arsenic, potassium, etc.), total nitrogen, total phosphorus, coliform bacteria, total number of bacteria, etc.
Non-Aqueous Wastes testing
Non-aqueous wastes in soil mainly include oils, hexane, alcohol, organic chemical reagents, organic compounds, inorganic reagents, etc. Our testing indicators are mainly pH, heavy metals, corrosive and others.
Alfa Chemistry is professional in soil testing. We can provide accurate and reliable tests results within the time constraint. We offers a comprehensive array of services related to water testing, hazardous waste testing, air testing, soil testing, and sampling and field testing.
