Main Functions

  • Stachyose significantly promotes the proliferation of beneficial bacteria such as bifidobacteria and lactobacilli. These bacteria help maintain a healthy balance of microorganisms in the gastrointestinal tract, thereby promoting digestive health.
  • The short-chain fatty acids produced by the fermentation of stachyose in the intestinal tract are an immunostimulatory effect and help boost the body's defenses against infections and diseases. In addition, these short-chain fatty acids, have been found to increase satiety and decrease appetite, leading to lower calorie intake and weight loss.
  • Stachyose has a low glycemic index and does not cause a significant rise in blood sugar levels. It also improves insulin sensitivity, which helps control blood sugar levels.
