Alfa Chemistry has a dedicated R&D department to develop more natural active ingredients for the food, nutraceutical and cosmetic industries. Microwave-assisted extraction

Microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) uses microwave radiation energy to facilitate the partitioning of analytes from the sample matrix to the solvent. MAE requires less solvent and is less time consuming than traditional.

Ultrasound-assisted extraction

Ultrasound-assisted extraction (UAE) is a technique that applies ultrasound waves with frequencies ranging from 20 kHz to 2000 kHz to trigger cell wall cavitation. High-frequency ultrasound disrupts and increases the permeability of plant cell walls, thereby releasing soluble and extractable compounds.

Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis

Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GCMS) is an analytical method that combines the features of gas chromatography and mass spectrometry to identify chemical components and characterize their content or percentage of composition in an extract.
