Epimedium, commonly known as Horny Goat Weed or Yin Yang Huo, is an intriguing genus comprising around 60 species of herbaceous flowering plants within the Berberidaceae family. Predominantly native to southern China, these plants also have representatives in Europe and various parts of Asia, including central, southern, and eastern regions.

Epimedium species are hardy perennials particularly appreciated for their aesthetically pleasing, spider-like, four-petaled flowers that bloom in the spring.
