Application

SPhos Pd G2 serves as an advanced second-generation palladium precatalyst, engineered with a biphenyl-based ligand that enhances its performance from the previous generation's phenethylamine-based backbone. This improvement facilitates the generation of active palladium species at room temperature using weak phosphate or carbonate bases. SPhos Pd G2 excels in promoting a range of Suzuki-Miyaura coupling reactions, including the self-arylation of 1-alkyl-3-bromo-2-phenyl-2,1-borazaronaphthalenes to form 2,1-borazaronaphthols, the coupling of [Ru(bpy)2]+ with 4-carboxyphenylboronic acid, and the reaction of β-borylated porphyrins with 2-iodoaniline, proving itself a versatile tool in the field of cross-coupling chemistry.

Highly Effective SPhos Pd G2 for Suzuki-Miyaura Coupling

The SPhos Pd G2 was excellent for my research. It enabled efficient Suzuki-Miyaura coupling at room temperature, especially in forming borazaronaphthols and porphyrins. The improved biphenyl ligand works seamlessly with weak bases.
