Application
Potassium hexacyanoferrate(II) trihydrate, commonly known as yellow prussiate of potash, is comprised of yellow crystals with a saline taste that dissolve in water but not in alcohol, and it dehydrates at 60°C. This compound serves a variety of purposes, including its use in medicine, creating dry colors, manufacturing explosives, and acting as an analytical reagent. Additionally, it plays a role in producing potassium cyanide and ferricyanide, tempering steel, dyeing processes, engraving, lithography, and various laboratory applications.
