Coccidiostats Residue Testing Service

Coccidiostats residues in foods of animal origin may affect consumer health. Alfa Chemistry provides a platform for the analysis of coccidiostats residues, and can customize different detection schemes for you according to different detection purposes.

Coccidiostats are mainly used to control protozoan infections in different food producing animals. There are many types of coccidiostats, such as polyethers, triazine acetonitriles, dinitros, sulfonamides, quinolones, etc., all of which are excellent coccidiostats in the livestock and poultry breeding industry. Because of their low toxicity, stable performance, low drug resistance, low price, and good coccidia control effect, they are widely used as a feed additive in breeds that are intensively reared for livestock and poultry to maintain animal health. However, the non-standard use of coccidiostats can cause residues of veterinary drugs and cause potential harm to the human body.

Coccidiostats Residue Testing Service

Alfa Chemistry has developed rapid detection technologies suitable for coccidiostats residue testing service for manufacturers, enterprises, and government organizations. We strictly abide by the quality assurance/quality control plans and regulatory requirements of each country and region to provide you with support. Including but not limited to the following standards and methods: ISO, FDA, AOAC, EU regulations.

Food Coccidiostats Residue Testing Platform

  • Immunochemical screening detection of coccidiostat residues
Including Enzyme linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA), timed-resolved fluoroimmunoassay (TR-FIA) and biosensor immunoassays.
The immunoassay method is a highly specific, high-throughput and low-cost technique, and is usually used as the first stage of a secondary detection program. It is possible to screen a large number of samples for drug residues, and then use more complex and accurate physical and chemical methods for the second stage of detection of suspicious positive samples. Depending on the matrix and extraction method, the limit of quantitation (LOQ) is different.
  • HPLC-UV detection
For chemical coccidia preparations with natural ultraviolet chromophores, it can be directly analyzed by HPLC-UV.
  • Liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS)
Ionization method includes: electrospray ionization (ESI), chemically induced dissociation (CID), atmospheric pressure chemical ionization (APCI).
For most analytes, low-energy CID can be used to generate enough product ions for qualitative identification to meet verification standards.

Acceptable Samples: Nearly all raw and processed foods or ingredients.

Turnaround Time: 7-10 working days.

At Alfa Chemistry, our analytical scientists are experienced in coccidiostats residue testing. After communicating with you about the testing scheme, we will implement it within a quick turnaround time and provide you with an analysis report. If you have any questions or specific needs, do not hesitate to contact us.
