Aminoglycosides Residue Testing Service
Improper use of aminoglycosides may result in excessive residue in animal food and harm to human health. Alfa Chemistry provides a platform for the analysis of Aminoglycosides residues, and can customize different detection schemes according to different detection purposes.
Aminoglycosides (AGs) are glycoside antibiotics that are formed by connecting amino sugars and amino cyclic alcohols through oxygen bridges. AGs have significant antibacterial effects against a variety of Gram-positive bacteria and Gram-negative bacteria. AGs can be used to treat various infections in livestock, and can also be administered in sub-dose to prevent diseases and improve feed utilization. EU regulations do not allow these drugs to be used as growth promoters.
AGs are not easily absorbed in the intestine after oral administration, but are easily absorbed after intramuscular injection. The excretion method is mainly excreted in the form of the parent compound through the kidneys, so the drug is easy to concentrate and remain in the kidney. The residues of AGs have a strong affinity for animal tissues. After administering drugs to animals for many days, the drugs can still be detected in the products. Long-term consumption of such animal products with excessive residues will directly cause harm.
The resistance of AGs may be transferred from animals to humans through zoonotic or symbiotic food-borne bacteria and/or their genetic material, which has an impact on the ecology and therapeutic efficacy of humans. In order to ensure food safety, the European Union and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and many countries and agencies have stipulated clear maximum residue limits (MRLs) for the residues of such drugs in food.
In order to protect the health of consumers and comply with food import and export inspections, Alfa Chemistry has developed a rapid detection platform suitable for the analysis of Aminoglycosides residues for manufacturers, enterprises, and government organizations. We strictly abide by the quality assurance/quality control plans and regulatory requirements of each country and region to provide you with support. Including but not limited to the following standards and methods: ISO, FDA, EU regulations.
