The regulatory landscape in the United States is governed primarily by the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA), a federal law that mandates testing and certification for all children's products, including electric toys. Moreover, the CPSIA works in tandem with ASTM F963 and FCC Part 15, the mandatory Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Toy Safety.

• Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA)
