Gotu kola, scientific name Centella Asiatica, is an herb that belongs to the same family (Apiaceae) as carrots and parsnips. Gotu Kola is mainly distributed in India, Japan, China, Indonesia and Sri Lanka, and has long been an important medicinal plant in ancient Indian and Chinese medicine.
