This method has the advantages of high efficiency, fast, strong controllability and simple operation. In contrast to SPOS, liquid phase oligonucleotide synthesis (LPOS) is performed entirely in solution. As with conventional organic synthesis, the scalability of the process is unlimited and the number of reagents required can be reduced by performing the reaction in a homogeneous solution. Thus, the method has the advantages of a low monomer feed ratio, reduced solvent usage, easy purification, and strong scalability.
