Description
Neutral protease NZs-BE-A015 is a high-performance enzymatic processing aid specifically developed to optimize plant extraction under neutral conditions. It provides a reliable solution to common challenges such as high viscosity, slow filtration, haze formation, and filter clogging in botanical extraction processes. This product is widely applicable in botanical processing workflows that demand high clarity, and improved filtration efficiency. By effectively hydrolyzing proteins and protein-like colloidal substances into smaller, more soluble peptides, it significantly improves extract fluidity and reduces system resistance. This leads to faster filtration rates, enhanced clarity, and a smoother, more streamlined production process. Its application prior to filtration is especially beneficial, as it reduces filtration load, increases throughput, and extends the service life of filtration systems. This product is well-suited for neutral pH extraction environments where process parameters such as temperature and pH can be precisely controlled within the enzyme's optimal activity range.

Suggested Use
- Pre-treatment of raw material. Soak the botanical raw material in warm water for approximately 30 minutes to ensure adequate hydration and facilitate subsequent enzymatic action.
- Enzyme activation. Pre-activate the compound enzyme by incubating it in a water bath at 40°C for 5–10 minutes prior to use, allowing the enzyme system to reach optimal activity.
- Enzymatic hydrolysis. Once the system temperature and pH have been adjusted to the required operating conditions, slowly introduce the enzyme solution into the mixture while stirring gently to ensure uniform distribution. Maintain a stable processing environment and allow enzymatic hydrolysis to proceed for approximately 2 hours. The exact duration may vary depending on the type, structure, and composition of the botanical material being processed.
- Post-treatment. For best results, it is important to keep the reaction conditions within the recommended operating window of 40-55 °C and pH 4.5-6.0, ensuring optimal enzyme activity and stability. Upon completion of hydrolysis, proceed directly with the downstream extraction steps according to the process requirements.
- Process optimization. Actual processing time and conditions can be fine-tuned based on factors such as raw material characteristics, solid-to-liquid ratio, and desired filtration performance or clarity targets.
Recommended Dosage
The suggested dosage of neutral protease NZs-BE-A015 is 0.3-0.5%, calculated based on the weight of dried botanical raw materials. For best results, the exact dosage may be adjusted according to factors such as raw material composition, extraction parameters, and desired product characteristics.
Storage
Store the product in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated environment to preserve its stability and enzymatic activity. It should be kept away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and high-temperature conditions, as excessive heat may lead to a reduction in product performance.
