Spermidine trihydrochloride
Catalog Number NZs334509
CAS 334-50-9
Structure
Description The nitric oxide synthase (nNOS) gene is located on human chromosome 12q24.22. This enzyme is involved in the production of nitric oxide. Spermidine trihydrochloride has been used for Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) characterization and zeta potential measurement. Its biochemical/physiological effects inhibit neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS).
Synonyms N-(3-Aminopropyl)-1,4-butanediamine hydrochloride
Molecular Weight 254.63
Molecular Formula C7H19N3·3HCl
Purity 99%
Biochem Physiol Actions Inhibits neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS). Binds and precipitates DNA; it can be used to purify DNA-binding proteins. Stimulates T4 polynucleotide kinase activity.
MDL Number MFCD00012918
Notes If a sterile solution is required, sterile filtration should be used rather than autoclaving. Spermidine will deaminize over time; the solution should be stored refrigerated. Fresh solution will usually need to be prepared.
