Description
Panax ginseng berry is a fruit of Panax ginseng used as a medicinal plant traditionally, and it has various biological effects such as anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidative, neuroprotective, anti-cancer, and anti-diabetic activities. The panax ginseng berry extract contains significant amounts of ginsenosides, phenolic compounds (chlorogenic acid, gentisic acid, and rutin), and polysaccharides. Among them, the most abundant compound of panax ginseng berry extract is ginsenoside Re, and it is 30-40 times more than that of ginseng root [1].
