Description
Ginsenoside F3 (G-F3) is a triterpene saponin originally found in species of panax ginseng, which exhibits immunostimulatory activity.
Ginsenoside F3 not only promotes the proliferation of mouse splenocytes, but also increases the production of IL-2 and IFN-gamma in mouse splenocytes, while decreasing the production of IL-4 and IL-10 in mouse splenocytes. Ginsenoside F3 increases IFN-gamma and T-bet gene expression and decreases IL-4 and GATA-3 gene expression [1]. In addition, Ginsenoside F3 increases the DNA binding activity of NF-κB induced by concanavalin A in isolated mouse spleen cells.
