Heteroatom-doped graphitic frameworks have received great attention in energy research, since doping endows graphitic structures with a wide spectrum of properties, especially critical for electrochemical super capacitors, which tend to complement or compete with current lithium ion battery technology.

Verma.S and Verma.B synthesized S-doped graphene aerogels and applied them to super capacitors, and the results showed the specific capacitance of the super capacitors was 750.75 F/g[1]. This data clearly indicates that S-doped graphene aerogels have great application potential in low cost energy storage devices.
