Magnetic graphene aerogels, a class of three-dimensional porous foam materials, are self-assembled by a specific reduction method using high quality graphene oxide and Fe3O4 nanoparticles as raw materials. Inside the magnetic graphene aerogels, there are micron-sized macropores and nano-sized mesopores to form abundant composite void structures. Due to the presence of Fe3O4 nanoparticles, magnetic graphene aerogels exhibit many unexpected advantages and are therefore highly concerned by academia and industry, especially the environmental protection field.
