Description | The rhodaminyl moiety is located at C(6). The product is highly hygroscopic and is dried to constant weight under 100 mbar vacuum at 50 ˚C. The fluorophore (5/6 isomeric mixture) is attached on the primary hydroxyl rim of the cyclodextrin, via a chemically stable thioureido group. Each cyclodextrin ring contains a fluorescent unit. Methylation is a random process. The material is freely soluble in water and soluble in organic solvents (CH2Cl2, DMF). |
