Description | The rhodaminyl moiety is located at C(6). The product is highly hygroscopic and dried to constant weight under 100 mbar vacuum at 50 ˚C. The fluorophore (5/6 isomeric mixture) is attached on the primary hydroxyl rim of the cyclodextrin, via a chemically stable thioureido group. Each cyclodextrin ring contains a fluorescent unit. The material is water soluble. The solubility in water increases at alkaline pH. The product is very slightly soluble in EtOH, it can be dissolved in pyridine, but precipitates in acetone. |
