Application
The purpose of trans-Bis(tricyclohexylphosphine)(2-methylphenyl)nickel(II) chloride is to serve as an air-stable precatalyst for a variety of nickel-catalyzed reactions that traditionally necessitate the use of Ni(cod)2. Unlike Ni(cod)2, this precatalyst eliminates the need for glovebox or Schlenk techniques, making it more convenient to handle. Furthermore, it offers improved reaction rates while maintaining comparable selectivity to reactions conducted with Ni(cod)2.
