Application

Trisacetylacetonatoruthenium(III) serves as a valuable precursor for synthesizing a variety of ruthenium compounds. This compound, characterized by its dark-red crystalline form, is prominently utilized as a recyclable catalyst in several organic transformations, including the acetylation of phenols, alcohols, and amines under neat conditions. Additionally, it acts as a homogeneous catalyst in processes such as the hydrolysis of sodium borohydride and the regiospecific tritiation of aromatic carboxylic acids.
