Application
1,3,5-Triaza-7-phosphaadamantane serves as an air-stable, water-soluble alternative to trimethylphosphine, offering versatility in various chemical processes. It acts as a reagent in the β-olefination of 2-alkynoates to create trisubstituted 1,3-dienes. Additionally, it functions as a ligand in a rhodium-catalyzed method for the branch-selective allylation of acetylacetone. Furthermore, when paired with an oxorhenium complex, it is an effective catalyst for the Baeyer-Villiger oxidation of ketones. Its stability also makes it suitable as an organocatalyst for the Baylis-Hillman transformation.
