Application
Tetrakis[5-t-butyl-phthaloyl-N-(S)-tert-leucinato]dirhodium bis(ethyl acetate) adduct Rh2(S-tertPTTL)4 is designed as a versatile catalyst that facilitates a wide range of asymmetric reactions. Its applications include the asymmetric, intermolecular C-H insertion of 1,4-cyclohexadiene with α-alkyl-α-diazoesters, catalytic cyclopropanation using diazooxindole, and intramolecular C-H insertion of sulfonyldiazoacetates. Additionally, it is utilized for the enantioselective synthesis of 2-arylbicyclo[1.1.0]butane carboxylates, providing access to complex [3.2.2] nonatriene structures through an innovative cascade of intramolecular cyclopropenation, Buchner reaction, and Cope rearrangement. The catalyst is also effective in the cyclopropanation of styrene with dimethyl-α-diazobenzylphosphonate.
