Application
Tetraethylammonium nitrate, a white or off-white solid, serves several specialized purposes in chemical processes. It is utilized to synthesize nitronium triflate by reacting with triflic anhydride, a compound that later acts as a nitrating agent for benzene. Additionally, it plays a role in examining how the concentration of nitrate anions influences the luminescence intensity of Europium (Eu3+) complexes. Furthermore, it is employed in the preparation of the lanthanum(III) complex (NEt4)[La(ntfa)4] through its reaction with lanthanum nitrate, sodium hydroxide, and 4,4,4-trifluoro-1-(2-naphthyl)-1,3-butanedione.
