This compound is instrumental as a ligand in palladium-catalyzed reactions, specifically for the monoarylation of malonate esters, 1,3-diketones, and isolated nitroalkanes. Furthermore, tBuMePhos demonstrates potential in cancer chemotherapy by inhibiting the growth of cancer cells through DNA binding and transcription inhibition, and it can induce apoptosis in certain cancer cells.
