Application
Strontium Chloride Hexahydrate, a white needleless crystal, serves multiple purposes across various fields. It is integral in the preparation of mesoporous strontium titanate thin films and the development of strontium standard solutions. Composed of a hydrated alkaline earth metal chloride, this compound also plays a significant role in research involving γ-irradiation at 77°K, where it forms radicals with electron spin resonance parameters similar to HO2. Solid-state NMR spectroscopy has been used to evaluate its chlorine electric field gradient and chemical shift tensors. Additionally, Strontium Chloride Hexahydrate is utilized in the manufacture of strontium salts, pyrotechnics, and as a pharmaceutical aid for dental desensitization.
