Application
(R)-Phanephos serves as a versatile and efficient ligand utilized in various catalytic reactions to achieve enantioselectivity. Its roles include facilitating rhodium-catalyzed asymmetric hydroboration of cyclopropenes, and promoting iridium-catalyzed [2+2] cycloaddition of oxabicyclic alkenes with terminal alkynes. Additionally, it is instrumental in palladium-catalyzed enantioselective hydroxycarbonylation and alkoxycarbonylation of alkenes, as well as amide synthesis through C(sp3)-H bond functionalization and CO insertion. This ligand is also key in the iridium-catalyzed diene hydrohydroxymethylation, and effectively supports the asymmetric hydrogenation of dehydroamino acids, methyl esters, and ketones.
