Its applications include the preparation of diarylmethanes through Suzuki cross-coupling with heterocyclic-chloromethyl derivatives and aryl or heteroaryl boronic acids. Additionally, it facilitates the synthesis of poly(arylene)s via Suzuki cross-coupling polymerization between aryl dihalides and aryldiboronic acids.
