This advanced third-generation (G3) Buchwald precatalyst is utilized in numerous transformative reactions, including the cyanation of heterocyclic halides and the coupling of heteroaryl chlorides with polyfluoroaryl zinc reagents. Additionally, it enables the coupling of 2,6-difluorophenylboronic acid with (hetero)aryl chlorides and acts as a palladium precatalyst in facile C-N cross-coupling reactions. XPhos Pd G3 is renowned for its high solubility in various organic solvents, stability against air, moisture, and heat, and its extended shelf life in solution. As an outstanding reagent for Suzuki cross-coupling reactions, it offers significant advantages such as reduced catalyst loadings, shorter reaction times, efficient active catalytic species formation, and precise control over the ligand-to-palladium ratio.
