Application
The Holmium Wavelength Calibration Standard is designed to ensure the precision of conventional spectrophotometers within the spectral range of 240 to 650 nm. As an advanced secondary reference standard, it serves as a reliable alternative to the NBS Holmium Oxide Solution (No. 2034). This calibration standard consists of Holmium perchlorate (15% w/v) in a 10% perchloric acid solution, facilitating accurate spectroscopic analysis by establishing reference points that help identify elemental atomic weights. Its use is essential in both physical vapor deposition processes, like thermal and electron-beam evaporation for thin film preparation, and in maintaining the accuracy of equipment used in various scientific and industrial applications.
