Application
Germanium(II) Sulfide is a versatile compound with a reddish-yellow color, appearing as either amorphous or rhombic crystals with a 99.95% purity and a particle size of -20 mesh. With a melting point of 665°C, this material has been extensively analyzed through differential thermal analysis. It holds significant potential in various applications, such as in the production of nanoparticles for use in lithium-ion batteries, which are prepared through gas phase laser photolysis. Additionally, thin films of GeS can be created via electrochemical deposition, serving as effective electrolytes. Furthermore, studies have demonstrated the formation of GeS clusters through laser ablation, highlighting its adaptability and usefulness in advanced technological applications.
