Additionally, it facilitates the formation of naphthalene ring-based calix[3]amide when reacted with 6-amino-2-naphthoic acid and contributes to the creation of C2v-symmetrical cyclic tetramers of aromatic amides. Its stability and reactivity, extensively analyzed by solid-state 31P NMR spectroscopy, have also made it valuable in the transformation of carboxylic esters to acid halides, where the reaction mechanism has been well-documented.
