Application
Chloro(4-cyanophenyl)[(R)-1-[(S)-2-(dicyclohexylphosphino)ferrocenyl]ethyldiphenylphosphine]nickel(II) serves as a versatile and cost-effective nickel catalyst, providing a stable alternative to palladium for facilitating carbon-carbon and carbon-heteroatom cross-coupling reactions. It is particularly effective in the synthesis of diverse aryl and heteroaryl amines by reacting substituted aryl and heteroaryl halides and tosylates with ammonia. Additionally, this compound is employed in monoarylation experiments using commercially available ammonia gas, ammonium salts, or ammonia solutions, and it catalyzes the coupling of aryl chlorides with gaseous amines, including their hydrochloride salts, as well as the amination of aryl chlorides with ammonium salts.
