It also aids in the synthesis of Negishi reagent for ring formation of dienes and transformation of enynes to cyclopentenones. Additionally, as a precursor to zirconocene complexes, it supports the alkylation of olefins, amidation of carboxylic acids, and other greener chemical reactions, reducing the need for preactivation or coupling reagents.
