When used in conjunction with cerric ammonium nitrate, it aids in the α-enolation of aldehydes to form 1,4-dicarbonyl systems. Its utility extends to the preparation of vinyl triflate, leveraging polymer-bound 2,6-di-tert-butylpyridine. Excellent Chemical for Research Applications

I used 2,6-Di-tert-butylpyridine, 96%, from Alfa Chemistry to monitor isobutylene polymerization. As a proton scavenger, it worked exceptionally well. The reaction reproducibility was impressive, enhancing our research outcomes significantly.
